Village in Nepal
Dear Friends,
Our coworker in Nepal writes on
March 12, 2010: ˇ°We again want to bring this to your knowledge that we are
suffering more because of electricity shortage in our country. From today load shedding
is increased to yet one hour more. Now the total load shedding hours are 84
hours weekly (12 hours daily). The situation is getting worse. Please pray for
this situation.ˇ± This means that 12 hours of electricity are cut each day
leaving only a few hours when the power is on. Please see our urgent request
below.
Urgent Need: Nepal
Studio
Our studio in Nepal
produces gospel radio programs for Asia and Africa
to reach villages just like the one in the above picture. Our coworkers there
are presently in need of a Power Backup to provide electrical power during the
hours that the electricity is off. Nepal
is experiencing a shortage of electrical power due to reduced rainfall and low
water supply for the hydroelectric plant and also due to increased consumers of
electricity in Nepal.
The situation seems to be getting worse instead of better. See BBC News Article
at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/8485665.stm
Our present need is $3,000 to purchase a Power Backup. Would
you consider making a donation to Watchmen Radio Ministries International to
help meet this urgent need. Please go to http://www.watchmenradio.org/nepalstudio.htm
for instructions on how to donate. Your help at this time would be greatly
appreciated and enable our coworkers in Nepal to carry on with their work.
God bless you!
Yours in His Service,
Alex Dodson, President
Watchmen Radio Ministries International
