Our Spanish broadcast, Nuevo Dia, is now available on Salem Web Network sites OnePlace.com and El Sitio Christiano. Pastor Raul Gimenez is the main speaker. He has been associated with Watchmen Radio Ministries International for over 15 years and his programs have been aired all over Latin America on both shortwave and local stations. Pastor Gimenez is pastor of VIda LIfe Church in Portland, Oregon. His program began on OnePlace.com and El Sitio Christiano in June and now has many listeners and his audience is growing weekly.

Pastor Ferdinand Duyaguit and his wife Ryane are our coworkers in the Philippines. Pastor Duyaguit now has two gospel radio broadcasts. One is on a local station targeting the Cebuano speaking mountain people on Negros Island. This program is now aired twice per week on Saturday and Sunday. From the local Cebuano broadcast, two churches have been started. Listeners write in and request Bible Studies. These Bible studies in homes of listeners then eventually become churches. Among these mountain people are many nonbelievers and many nominal Catholics. They really need to be able to hear the gospel in clear way. Please pray that many will be reached through these local radio broadcasts through the voice of Pastor Ferdinand as he proclaims the Word of God to them.

A shortwave broadcast was begun this month which reaches a much wider area in the Philippines and targets the over 15 million Cebuano speaking people there. This is a weekly broadcast. Pastor Ferdinand is also the speaker on this new program. It is being broadcast through Bible Voice Broadcasting. This program can also be heard on the internet at www.biblevoice.org.

Pastor Jerry Mangitngit in association with Pastor Ferdinand Duyaguit is working on our Ilongo language radio program. The Ilongo language is spoken by over 7 million people in the Philippines. Plans are to also put this new program on shortwave and possibly local stations.

Pastor Ferdinand writes, "About the Ilonggo broadcast, I have already contacted someone very interested in radio ministry. Brother Jerry Mangitngit, he is also a gospel missionary and very fluent in ilonggo. He can make recordings with me. I believe that he is the man of God for the task.... I will be helping him with the available scripts we have for both local and shortwave broadcasts."

Our commitment continues to be to reach people in their mother tongues in languages they can easily understand. By producing radio programs in Cebuano and Ilongo, we hope to reach some people with the gospel who would not otherwise be reached. Please pray for our radio outreach in the Philippines.
