The Yeast That Leavened the Whole Lump

Powerful forces have been released in this country in previous days. Forces so great that the society was changed and men served God with renewed vitality. The Second Great Awakening that began about 1800 changed the whole nation. From the pouring out of the Holy Spirit during the Second Great Awakening came the impetus to turn America into a missionary sending nation - sending the gospel all over the world. Though we are living in a time of sin and wickedness, the gospel is still powerful and will yet prevail in the world. We must believe that. Though predictions of doom and the decline of Christianity abound, yet we must believe the Bible and the power of God. The gospel and the Kingdom of God will prevail in this world.
